Brimfield Antique Show

With JW of Secret Forts, a weekend scouting mission to Brimfield Antique Show had been hatched over beers months ago, just to get an idea of what all the commotion was about. If you're not familiar, BAS is a mile-long antique show of over 5,000 dealers and is the largest show in New England and possibly the U.S.

They have hundreds of booths to check out and within hours, we were absolutely exhausted from constantly scanning tent after tent. It's a visual feast, and with amazing weather, a great trip out of the city. I didn't go crazy, but amongst the handful of items purchased, the kerosine Coleman lantern, identical to the one my father had while I was growing up, is easily my favorite. The new LED ones just don't have that same warm glow. Or reminiscent smell.

If you get free, there are three shows a year. Check it out.

Culinary Weekend Update

Yet another well designed can from Miller. Somebody's getting the good stuff through.
This baby's for the vets. I truly enjoyed the extra mile some designer took in selling the macro-label
running over the viewing plane. That's a tough sell and a detail that I find makes it a bit more
artifact and a little less visually disposable.

Also, that whole "Dorito taco shell thing".
Do it. It's amazing. Next week, we'll have hover-boards, watch.
