VA.
The complimentary “Meat & Cheese” plate in Gatlinburg, TN. That's White Zin on the left. Gatlinburg turned out to VERY different than I remember 30 years ago. Lesson learned.
The Great Smokey Mountains NP. Since my summer trip to Yosemite, I've become a rabid fan of the National Park system. If you can, visit one. And if you want, donate. It's been correctly labeled, “America's Greatest Idea”. Go out and confirm it. You will not be disapointed.
Nashville. Blind bourbon tasting at our host's home. Now that's how you great weary travelers. Amongst the $35 Woodford Reserve, $55 Blanton's and $28 Maker's Mark, turns out I fancy the $11 bottle of Evan Williams. Good to know.
The refurbished Netherland Hotel in downtown Cincinnati. I had never seen the 1931 hotel totally detailed. I was amazed.
